The forum was informed that the scheme pertains to District Karachi and is reflected in the ADP Book under ADP No. 3061 (2025-26) at a cost of Rs. 205.427 million. The scheme was originally approved by PDWP in its meeting held on 19-05-2025, Throw-forward is equal to allocation i.e., Rs. 45.174 million in ADP 2025-26 Book. AD has uploaded and submitted revised PC-I at an estimated cost of Rs. 627.453 million. Pre-PDWP meeting was held on 06-05-2026. Original versus revised scope of the scheme is as follows:
2.The forum asked about the reasons of revision of scheme, AD with the help of charts and maps briefed the forum that original approved scope consisted of widening & reconditioning of road from Hub Power Plant road (village Haji Shah Baig) to Hawksbay road village Mubarak having total length of 6.60 kms, which has been completed. AD added that main reasons of revision of scheme, is replacement of 121.91 meter causeway with 152.40 meter Pre-stressed Bridge over Hub River due to increased water flow observed at site. The forum inquired about Hydrology Study conducted to determine maximum discharge of water from the site, AD replied in negative. The forum discussed in detail the option of opting pre-Stressed bridge instead
Decisions:
Approved the Revised PC-I of the scheme at a cost of Rs. 627.453 million.
Executing Agency shall attach Hydrology Study and all requisite technical reports with the Revised PC-I.
Executing Agency shall review the budget / cost estimates in light of approved rates and justify the increase from Rs. 205.427 million to Rs. 627.453 million.
Executing Agency shall furnish location certification / site verification for the proposed Pre-stressed Bridge over Hub River.
Administrative advice / further processing of the Revised PC-I shall be undertaken as per prevailing procedure after compliance of above decisions.
